Hi, I am Jeanne, you may call me "Jean", but not "Jeans", okay? I am a Sarawakian from Sibu, which is the third largest city in Sarawak. I finished my secondary education at SMK Tung Hua in year 2003. My first bachelor's degree was obtained from University Malaysia Sabah in the field of Biotechnology. After graduation, I found myself have a deep enthusiasm for education. So, I enrolled in a Diploma Course (KPLI) in year 2009 to act as student teacher and started my teaching career since 2010. My first posting was at SJKC Kai Dee, which is a rural Chinese primary school that only had 20 pupils at that time. The biggest class consist of 9 pupils whereas the smallest was only ONE pupil and yet there was 12 teachers in the school. Wow...don't you think that this was an incredible ratio? But it was the truth that the number of teachers was almost the same as pupils'.
Two years later, I was transferred to a town school with a total of 850 pupils in the school. At first, I totally cannot cope with such a big yet sophisticated community with the heavy workload. As time passes, finally I managed to control the class and get the job done.
Being a teacher is very easy but be a good teacher is not an easy job as it needs extraordinary perseverance and endurance to face challenges in this era of ICT and globalization. Thus, I hope that I can get full use of this blog to upgrade myself to become an "ICT teacher" in order to make the "e-learning" possible in my Science classroom.
